MINDSET STORY: THE LAZY MONK WHO WONDERED WHY HE NEVER GOT RICH
Some time ago there lived a monk who was extremely lazy and unfortunate for him he was poor. He dreamed of being rich one day, but he was not willing to work for others to earn money. He talked to everyone even strangers about his dreams of becoming rich. When they asked him how he would achieve his dream he always talked about this plan or that plan. The monk was full of ideas, but no work ethics. So days passed with the monk begging for food and money and every time someone gave him a “minute or two” of their time the monk started explaining his ideas and pointing out how unlucky he was to be poor, but he never took any action.
One day a stranger while listening to the lazy monks’ great ideas and his misfortune decided to give him a pot of milk. The monk was extremely delighted and went home with the pot of milk with a plan to make curd. When he came to his tiny home he prepared everything so the milk would turn into curd and after “working hard” the monk lay down to get some rest. Soon he started daydreaming about how he would become rich.
“By morning the pot of milk would set, it would be converted to curd. I would churn the curd and make butter from it. I would heat the butter and make ghee out of it. I will then go to that market and sell that ghee, and make some money. With that money, I will buy a hen…
