HAPPINESS STORY: THE MONKEY AND THE SHINY APPLES

In a beautiful jungle, there lived a large tribe of monkeys which helped and shared everything with each other. But there was one exception, one monkey which always took from the rest of the tribe but never shared anything she found on its own. She spent her days wandering the jungle, climbing trees, eating delicious fruits and resting. One day while wandering around the island she came across a nearby village. And while investigating the houses which had opened windows she suddenly stumbled upon the most beautiful red apples she had ever seen. They were the perfect shape and color. So without hesitation and any more thought, she grabbed one in each hand and ran back into the forest. She sniffed the apples but smelled nothing, and as she tried to eat them she hurt her teeth. The monkey didn’t realize the apples were made of wood and so she kept them as she returned to her tribe. As she came home she saw that other monkeys were very interested in her apples which were the most beautiful looking apples any monkey has ever seen. And even though our selfish monkey hurt herself trying to eat the apples she never let go of them. When seeing how much other monkeys were mesmerized by them she held them even tighter.
