Funny story: Going along with an unbelievable story has consequences

In a town that was not large, yet not small lived a man who had everything he needed and more. He was the wealthiest in his village and many times other villagers went to this man and asked to borrow items they themselves didn’t have. The wealthy man gladly lent his items in exchange for favors, which he would later collect. One day his closest neighbor John knocked on his door and asked to borrow a frying pan. The wealthy man looked at him strangely but said ok, and gave him the frying pan. After four days had passed and John still hadn’t returned the frying pan the wealthy man decided to get the frying pan back with an excuse that he needed it himself, even though he had three more just like it at home. When John opened the door he smiled at the wealthy man and said, “I was just on my way to you to give you your frying pan back, but you know, the birth was just so difficult and I couldn’t come by sooner.” The wealthy man was stunned as John lived alone and didn’t understand what John was talking about, “What do you mean birth?” John again smiled and answered, “You didn’t know? Your frying pan was pregnant. She gave birth the night I borrowed her, and I would have brought her back sooner but she needed a couple of days of rest.” The wealthy man was in shock.
